I went to UAH for a few years in Engineering, then transferred to Georgia Tech in Atlanta. Graduated in Chemical Engineering in 1981, and began working at Kaiser Aluminum in Gramercy, LA (half way betweeen Baton Rouge and New Orleans). Have a lot of great memories of that time...and the Cajun food! Got laid off in 1985 due to the recession in the metals industry, took it so hard I moved to Denver and skiied for three months. Then moved to St. Petersburg, FL to look for work- always wanted to live in Fla. Got tired of those rainy 40-degree springs in N. Alabama-Ga. Found a job in 1986 in Fort Lauderdale. As a Process Engineer in a treatment plant - doing computer Network Administration, server setup, graphics, and anything else they want me to do. Still doing that today after almost 23 years (where does the time go??) Done a lot of travel, life, love and having a good time.

Current intrests include: Mountain Biking; travel (mountain biked outside Las Vegas last year); music- mostly 80s hair and hard rock (not metal); and judging BBQ contests for the Florida BBQ Association.
Recently retired (after 30+ years with the City of Fort Lauderdale as Process Engineer). Now looking to relocate to the NE area of Florida, like Jacksonville or just north of there.
Update 2017: Now living in Yulee, FL (20 miles north of Jacksonville) since I retired last July. Loving it up here! A lot less crowded, and cooler weather.

School Story:

Let's see.... senior year I think. Group of us "rolled" a girls yard...I think Jim Yelle, and maybe the Lawsons (Steve and Gary) were in on it... It was a real work of art!
